Last night I finished off painting the French Guard Lancers, in the colours of the 2nd (Dutch) Regiment of the Imperial Guard. I think they scrubbed up quite well!
I have some too and I have decided to replace them by cutting off the original, drilling out a hole through the hand and adding a wire lance. These can be purchased cheaply on Ebay for a couple of quid. I almost did the same for these guard lancers, but the originals were in quite good shape.

ReplyDeleteI have a few of the line lancer version, but am a bit stumped about what to do to strengthen their exceptionally long, thin and bendy lances.

ReplyDeleteIt is good to hear from another who has memories of these old figures. They look quite reasonable with a bit of paint on them too.
