It has been a while since I lasted posted on here and I still have heaps of Ros figures to piant and base. However, last night I completed a project with some figures that have been sitting on the corner of the painting table for a long time.
Here they are, Ros 25mm French Guard Foot Artillery. The castings are quite nice and they paint up well:
Every once in a while batches of Ros figures do pop up for sale. Today I received a small lot from the well known online auction site. The lot consisted of some original Ros 25mm Napoleonics. there were 10 line infantry in stovepipe shakos:
A Lamming officer and a broken lamming standard bearer were included.
And also some Highlanders:
Another battalion of British line infantry, wearing the later Belgic Shako comes off the production line:
Some more Imperial Guard Grenadiers, this time painted as the 3rd Dutch regiment:
With the correct command figures, another Guard Grenadier unit is ready for the table:
I have finally painted this lovely set of French Guard Horse Artillery. They look rather dashing and were fun to paint:
I have some Guard Foot artillery which will be on the painting bench soon.
Every once in a while something pops up of interest and this set of French artillery was up for sale on eBay. Now, I already have quite a few French gunners but this set was a little different because the gun barrel has a tab with a catalogue number, F15 stamped on it.
I have not seen a number on Ros guns before, so this is an interesting find. The set came with the usual five crew figures and the gun, made up of four parts. I am tempted to paint this set, however, it would be a shame to snip off the tab with the number.

As part of my renovation project I have just completed these Ros 25mm british infantry in stovepipe shakos, but painted them as Light Infantry c1815. The commander and standard bearer are by Minifigs.
Yesterday was the turn of some British troops to be refurbished and added to my updated 1815 allied Army.
The first unit is made up of 10 Ros British Riflemen, painted to represent the 60th Rifles. Ros did not produce a Rifles command, so I have added a bugler from Minifigs and an officer by Les Higgins. They are now ready to take to the field:
The second unit is a British Line Infantry battalion, again by Ros. All of the figures are Ros Miniatures:
Also having gone through the refurbishment shop are these Ros 25mm British Dragoons:
I have refurbished my original 1975 Scots Greys after they were looking a little play worn:
Some refurbished Ros 25mm French Napoleonic Cuirassiers. The horses, although similar in style, are not by Ros though:
Hot off the painting table are another three Ros Figures Austrian infantry units. This gives me six in all. As before I have used Warrior Miniatures command figures:
